So much friendlier on the skin =D

I substituted cocoa butter for the shea butter. FYI about shea butter, the reason the end result is grainy is because you must chill shea butter rapidly after heating. You can’t really do that with this recipe, as I found that I needed to continue to stir it at room temperature to keep the oil from separating. For a container, I bought the cheapest deodorant and threw the stick away. Once the mixture hardened I cut it up into cubes and put it in the Suave container, mashing it down and into shape. It works well in my bathroom where the temp stays around 70 in the winter. I may have to keep it in the mini fridge in the summer. You could add a bit of beeswax to make it harder. A half batch of the recipe was perfect for a 2.4 oz. cheap Suave stick. I’ll never buy that stuff again!!!

I was surprised at how well it works for me.
I had tried a few other recipes before I found this one, this is the best one by far.
I have been using this recipe exclusively for three years.

I didn’t believe that this would actually work so well. I tried before a ‘natural’ deodorant that I’ve bought for a person that was selling home made deodorants with, but with no effect. Glad I decided to give it another try with this recipie and did it myself! Also, I am grateful for the comments – provided inspiration. For me, the rosemary & grapefruit essential oils were the best combo. I added just a bit of frankincense essential oil and a bit of beeswax.

Is there something I can add to make this tube ready?
